Day 1 - My wife and I stayed at the Keepers Cabin for 3 nights early January for my wifes birthday, I kept it a secret and she was over the moon when she found out where we were staying! On arrival we were met by Caroline who was really nice & welcoming (considering she said she normally doesnt do the welcoming she was very good at it!), Caroline showed us to our cabin & the welcoming gifts are a brilliant toucha bottle of Prosecco & homemade cakes, not to mention the other extras, milk, bread, butter, oils, balsamic, foil, washing up liquid.I could go on! Really nice touch! After that we had a look around, and the place has a great feel to it, you want to stay in and be cosy in front of the log burner. Our besties turned up on the 1st night as another surprise, I cooked a meal, we drank way too much wine & prosecco and probably made far too much noise in the hot tub followed by more wine..Day 2 - After breakfast our friends left and we decided to walk to Bolton Abbey (approx. 2.7m each way), walk 30 metres from the cabin towards the river, turn left and keep walking it was that easy. We had a lovely walk (bring walking boots winter months) & lunch in a caf just across the road from the Abbey.Later that evening I had booked a table in The Fleece in Addingham (recommend booking) and the night was really nice, a good atmosphere pub with good ales and the food was nice too, followed by more wine and a movie in front of the fire back at the lodge.Day 3 - Sunday we ventured to the local Co-op, again walkable in the village (I think this was after visiting another local hostelry), later that afternoon we needed more wood, as we knew Caroline wasnt there and we didnt want to call anybody so we decided to gather some up from the local areawhilst dragging it back a man with 2 dogs said its a bit early for bonfire night we told him the story and he said he could get us some wood (it turns out he is 1 of the guys who helps out looking after hot tubs and getting the cabins ready for arrivals Sorry I forget his name), he came back in about 10 minutes with a bag of wood. What a star! My wife rewarded him with a piece of Birthday cake.We had a great last evening, wine, hot tub, sauna, movie, wine, maybe not in that order, we are definitely coming back (unless were banned for making too much noise the first evening ) as its a great place to relax, this time we aim to explore a bit more!!
A wonderful location and an exceptional standard of accommodation. This is a family business and the owners attention to detail ensures every aspect of your stay is excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Olicana Park for a wonderful holiday.
Having stayed in the cottages twice, we were really excited to test out the brand new cabins. They didnt disappoint. What a fantastic place, so relaxing and welcoming and definitely more than a little bit special! Susie and family are lovely hosts who genuinely care about people having a wonderful experience whilst in their accommodation. You couldnt ask for a more luxurious and well equipped holiday home with lots of little extras. If you are looking for something special but homely too this is the place.Wonderful scenery, walks, pubs and food all on the doorstep literally.
Faultless from start to finish! We stayed in The Lookout lodge and we didnt have a bad word to say about it, great location, immaculately presented, luxuriousamazing! Thank you to Susie and the team, highly recommended.
Absolutely beautiful place for a peaceful relaxing holiday. At the time of writing we are still here and thoroughly enjoying it. I am normally a South West person as I love Devon and Cornwall but thought I'd have a change. We chose here because of the cabins and the photo of them. I can honestly say that they haven't disappointed. Spotlessly clean inside kitted out to a high standard with every mod con. Would highly recommend and will certainly be looking to return for a winter break as I am Sure that the views over the hills when snow covered would be amazing.
