Having recently retired and at long last having some spare time to pursue my interests, after a long absence, I've taken up the guitar again. Ben has been teaching me for a couple of months now and I find him excellent. He has extensive experience of teaching guitar (and other instruments), explains everything very clearly, sets exercises suitable to my level, and I really feel I'm making good progress with him. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.
I started taking guitar lessons from Ben and he has been extremely patient and helpful with my clumsy efforts to play. I recently switched to piano because of an injury to my hand that makes it harder to hold my guitar's neck and now enjoy my piano lessons with Ben just as much as the guitar. With Ben's guidance, I'm looking forward to building on what I've already learned. He makes me want to improve and I have no hesitation in recommending Ben as a music teacher, no matter what age you are. He tailors lessons to each individual rather than a "one size fits all" approach.
Ben is an excellent teacher. He teaches my 14 year old son electric guitar and is very good at adjusting his lessons to fit with my son's interests, choosing music that he enjoys playing and also advising him on composition and arranging music.
