Excellent food at good value prices with friendly service. Not a lot more to add, highly satisfied.

Went for a birthday meal with friends and was left feeling disappointed. My boyfriend and I ordered mixers with lemonade and was shocked to taste soda water/sparkling water. These are not the same drink at all and it's rather insulting to think that the barman must have thought 'they won't be able to tell the difference'. We asked for new ones but these failed to turn up as well so we got our money back. I had also emailed the restaurant prior to the meal about organising a birthday treat. Nothing had been organised. I'm not sure if this is a poor communication error or sheer laziness. The food is also VERY overpriced. 9.95 for a 'naked chicken club sandwich'? Basically a chicken salad. Get off your high-horse Banyan and start hiring people that can be bothered to do their job.
Nice restaurant/bar in the centre of Ilkley . There is a surprisingly good choice of beers at The Banyan and the usual choice of pricy lagers . It was a lunchtime visit and I had the classic burger which was very good . Steak and cheese melt was enjoyed by my wife . All in all I would return to the Banyan
