Fantastic location for such a great pub. Food was great, as was the drinks selection. Very friendly staff and also dog friendly.We went in the depths of winter and still enjoyed it, but I can imagine how it would be even nicer in the summer having been for a walk in the local countryside, to then call in for some lunch and a drink, maybe even out in the grounds (where there is a small bar).Part of the Vintage Inns chain. Would highky recommend a visit here!
My good lady hails from nearby Guiseley, so anytime we pop over from Ireland we always stop off at the Cow and Calf. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. And the selection of ales on tap is excellent. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Part of the Vintage chain but for some reason always appears to be private ownership. The staff are so nice and helpful and I have never had a bad meal, ever, unlike some in the same chain. Highly recommended, try the fillet steak, pricey but value and quality, you should not be disappointed

Lovely homely pub and great food. Very popular so booking is recommended and be prepared to pay premium pub prices. Very convenient for the fantastic local walks and lots of outside seating that gets used all year round.
